Environmental Protection
For many industrial users of water the disposal of waste water can be a major cost to the business, especially if their discharge is to a river or beck. The environment Agency will have set strict standards and consent limits on what can and cannot be discharged, and a contravention, whether accidental or otherwise can lead to punitive fines and adverse publicity.
We have a number of technologies that can be applied within this broad area of risk, and the inclusion of policing filters will assist in ensuring your limits are not breached.
We have a number of applications in this area each requiring their own specific technology to ensure the best and most cost effective solution.
Contamination from storage or processing for example may be
- fuel coal store for a power generating station,
- scrap iron from a processing plan
- Run off waste from an excavation
- Vehicle wash water
All of these have their own technological solution some of which are illustrated here
CrossFlow MF
Used when the contamination is confined to fine particulates such as from a manufacturing process, the self cleaning media filter can removal contamination down to 0.45 micron with solids loadings as high as 80 ppm
For the removal of bulk solids typical applications would be run down waste from coal storage facility or rain run off water contaminated with solids running into a river or beck the GDS is ideally suited to operate remote locations on a continuous basis
Oils Skimmer
For the removal of surface oil prior to other filtration, the oil skimmer is ideal for bulk oil or fat removal from waters which can then be treated for other processes prior to disposal
Ideal self cleaning systems for filtration down to 20 micron or used as a prefilter for CrossFlow MF. This is ideal for heavy solids loading where security of removal is of paramount importance
